Before glueing up the core in the press, lenght and cross layers needs to get glued together in pairs. When the glueing tape is removed, the core board maintaing 4 layers of glued up cross and length veneer, can be pressed.

Veneers
Each board is made from serveral layers of maple veneer. A regular skatboard is made from 7 Layers of 1.5mm thick hard maple veneer...

Presses
We have produced several presses made from chip board. Each board is pressed in two setps.
Glueing
Each layer is glued with water proof glue. To get a good pressure, each press has six threaded rods that are connected with wooden bars. A long leverage is all it takes to get the over excessed glue out of the board.
Getting in shape
When the boards are done with their second round in the press, the holes for the trucks are made which makes it easier to cut off excess material. Having not much extra material left makes it way easier to get the final shape with a copy router.
